Shacham Givat Ada the year 2000 and after
Shacham Givat Ada was founded by Chaim Kalai in 1965, in the
hills to the south of Haifa between Kibbutz Regavim and Givat Ada. At the time, there was
a kibbutz factory on the site which produced minerals for the construction industry.
Chaim, along with his son Elisha who joined him in 1968, converted the factory to produce
animal feed.
In 1978, after a prolonged period of research and development, Elisha decided on a change
of direction - producing pellets for fertilizer, now the leading product in
Shacham Givat Ada.
Annual production is currently approaching some 150 thousand cubic meters in four
categories:
Organic fertilizer and organo-mineral
fertilizer all in pellet form.
Bio compost
Soil less growing media
Animal feed
